With a stick shift manual too, that is impressive.
That car is a game changer for sure. $70K price tag and can out handle exotics and domestics on the Nurburgring including: Viper ACR, ZR1 Corvette, and the GT-R. I imagine this car will also be a monster at the drag strip. Congrats Chevrolet on an amazing product that's very well rounded.

Never drove a Z28 but I can tell you even with my Shelby, I still miss the crap out of my 5g 1LE.
I hope they will actually be able to sell these ones.

Huh? Surely you aren't referring to the 5th gen Viper ACR.
Edit: Just looked up the ring times. You must be talking about the 2009 ACR that ran the ring in 7:22. Even the 2010 SRT-10 ACR did the ring in 7:12.
It's a terrible thing if you buy one when it comes out. After considering a handful of Chevy's over the last couple years, I have a feeling this car will be like all the others. Wait 6 months and they will be over 20% off, that's when you buy. Which is good news for us.
I still want a Z28, I'm just waiting for their prices to drop even lower, that would be a killer track car. 6 months ago they were worth $48k or so, now they are dropping below $45k with only a few hundred miles on them.
This car is 16 seconds faster than the extremely rare / limited production GT350 R.

Oh yeah. I don't think that's a real time, I remember when HPKs pushed that out during the testing of the car.
I have a feeling it would run pretty similar times to that though.
