The carfax report shows two recalls for the car I’m interested in and it looks like it hasn’t been fixed. Are these recalls a big deal? Do they cause any harm to anything or performance loss?

  • Manufacturer Emissions recall issued
    • Recall #22E08 2020-2021 MUSTANG GT500 TCM COMMUNICATION
  • Manufacturer Safety recall issued
    • NHTSA #23V727
    • Recall #23C35 BODY CONTROL MODULE BCM CONFIGURATION UPDATE
    • Status: Remedy Available

I have a ‘22 that has a cam cover and thread sealant recalls but on most ‘20-22s it’s probably still under warranty.
I don’t know any specific ‘21 recalls like the ‘22 although nothing should prevent you from buying one of these cars. They’re impressive cars.

It is not a big deal. Get them done. I am tuned and all I did was returned the tune to stock; they did their flash, then I returned my tune to the car before it got started. It took them about 15 minutes for both recalls. I have a 21 also.
