JDM Engineering is now hosting a SPECIAL for the Ford Racing 5.4L Forged Iron Shortblock for Supercharged applications. This is a brand new 5.4L Cast iron block filled with a Forged Steel Lightning Crank, H beam connecting rods, and Forged Pistons in Low Compression ready for a Supercharger! :beer: The Ford Racing Shortblock has already been a very popular option in the last couple years. JDM has been part of a few builds that touched over 1000 RWHP with these same Shortblock in GT500's. With the rising cost of the discontinued 5.4L block it looks better and better by the day. Our JDM Shortblock price has raised several times over the years because Fords price inflation on the Block and Crank. With the quality and reliability of Ford Racing's engine program this Shortblock is a Home Run!:banana:
Ford Racing 5.4L Forged Iron Shortblock (Supercharged)M-6009-C54SC4
The Ford Racing M-6009-C54SC4 Shortblock requires removal of the freeze out plug in the water pump pocket and the installation of a Water Tube F75Z-8555-AA (Retail $11.48) for fitment in a Lightning truck.
Also required Ford Racing 5.4 Head gaskets and head bolts (Retail $149) for a complete package ready to accept heads and timing components! Some of you may want to use ARP Head studs, we even run them in our Built JDM Lonblocks. You can upgrade to these for an additional $299 but just remember, the Ford Head bolts that come in the package offered at the same Head bolts we use on NHRA Super Cobra Jets running low 8 sec 1/4 miles with 1200+ HP!!! :thumbsup: **These head bolts require a 5 step Torquing sequence as performed on the GT500**
