Lol, I get this question a lot. The 97 cobras had a gear driven speedometer. If you did a tire change or a rear gear change you changed gears in the speedometer to adjust. I have a electronic converter because of the 99-01 t-45 so the speedo isn't gear driven anymore, you adjust it electronically through a mechanism under the shifter bezel.
