I was asked to post this info and photos that I had previously posted in a thread on another web site. Hope it helps some folks get the look they want:
Well, I decided to buck up and figure it out myself rather than to continue pestering Amy. I found a high resolution photo of the rear of the GT500KR on the net, brought it into photoshop and then changed the scale until a couple of known dimensions matched those on my car. I was then able to scale a few from the photo and determine the rest mathematically.
Anyway, best as I can figure from the photo, the actual spacing of the letters on the GT500KR is 5 1/4" +/- a half millimeter. Also note that the letters are not all the same width. Anyway here is marked up copy of the photo with the dimensions I figured out:
I then layed it out on the rear of my Shelby using painters tape:
And this is the result:
To my eye, its a pretty darn close match to the KR from the auto show. I am very pleased with the result and thought some others might want the dimensions too.
