Over the winter I plan on bringing the door panels to my local body shop and having them sprayed torch red. I like the gloss over the 10th anniversary look. I was thinking if the center console would be over kill? Anyone have any pics?

I'm still sitting the fence. For now I'll probably just paint the door panels and then down the road if I want more I'll paint the center console. Thanks for the pic. Anyways you can get a better shot of it during the day?

Holy crap that looks amazing! What did you use for paint to get it to look that "matte" red look and not gloss? Did you sand? I love how that looks

It's rattle can paint you can order right from ford actually........I'll try to post up the can I bought for reference.

I actually bought a second console and painted it so I didn't ruin the OEM one.

I actually bought a second console and painted it outside of the car.....
I wasn't 100% I was going to keep it in the car becuase I was super anal about matching the color.

I have gotten alot of PM's about the paint i used...so here is a few pic's of the rattle can I got from Ford:

What kind of prep are you guys doing on these pieces? Are you leaving the "wrinkle" finish plastic, or smoothing it with bondo/filler and sanding it back down to end up with a slick piece?

^ All you need to do for prep is make sure the surface is clean. Once you paint it, it takes away from the "wrinkle" finish and becomes smooth. I ended up bringing mine to a body shop, but I did some for my buddy and I painted it with a torch red spray can from autozone and then hit it with satin clear. It came out mint.

Here are pics from mine from the body shop, I had them do a satin clear.
