Holy crap, I had no idea the ZO6 was so expensive when you add on the options. I can't believe it bumps it up to $100,000.

I'd take the Z06 any day of the week. Impressive for the GT-R though, but damn does that shelby look good in grabber blue.

Kind of a goofy comparison.

I could see comparing a Z06 to a GT-R, but weird that they opted to compare one with over $20,000 in options that does nothing for straight-line performance in a drag race.

The GT500 doesn't belong at all. Neither does that 1st to 2nd gear shift, holy hell. Make a sandwich between that shift.

I wonder what the GT500 would be like if it had carbon fiber options like the Vette... May be a closer race. Or even if the body was fiberglass.

I kinda don't care for that video since that's a AWD Nissan to RWD...

I cant stand when cars like this are compared. two cars almost 100k and 1 that is almost half their price. I should hope the 100k sports cars would win. You take the 55k car car dump 20k more into it and it will smoke the **** out of em. and you still save yourself 20+ grand.

It wouldn't be close. The GT500 has backseats with twice the space. The Corvette is a sports car, even without the CF options a base Corvette weighs roughly the same 3250lbs.

That was a very horribly slow shift from 1-2 gear, but other than that it seemed like a decent launch and run.

Other than that, those clowns will do a 10 minute burnout and heat soak the shit out of the car right before running it. :bored:

That's what these cars run on a non gorilla glued track. Given that, the times don't seem so bad.

On a side not, great reading on the Randy Pobst road course run with each car. Give it a look.

98,000.00 For a Z06? Isn't that what ZR1's go for?

That's for the Z07 Carbon upgrade package. Those carbon fiber disc brake rotors and magnetic ride control are costly little options!!! Couple that on top of a 3LZ package with NAV and yeah... you're almost in base price ZR1 territory!

U.M.
