got this from cx racing, ($150 shipped from ebay store!) i bought a real nice 4 core radiator from them a few years ago for my 94gt and the quality was top notch. so i bought their universal HE002 heat exchanger and installed it last night. i have plans of running a batter box coolant tank which is why went with this one featuring inlet and outlets on opposite sides. and the thing is a monster as well!
wanted to go a different route after hitting a fox and busting my lfp dual pass and for 1/2 the price im more than content with the outcome. i grabbed up two 3" wide "L" brackets and pop riveted them to the sides of the HE and also to the underside of the bumper support. i used a thin layer of foam padding between the brackets and HE and bumper support for vibration and used aluminum rivets which wont rust and can easily be drilled out and replaced if it needs to come off. it comes with an overflow fitting which i removed and plugged with a bolt of the same size teflon taped. i used a total of 9 rivets per side, 5 on the HE and 4 on the support. i cut a notch into the foam bumper core to clear the cap on top, and i moved the positon of the HE a couple inches closer to the front to maximize the incoming air. i only took a few pics of the install but it was really straight forward. the best part is how well it works. i was temporarily using a trans cooler lol and when logging iat2 temps would float around 160` and get way hot after a pull. now it stay around 95-100 deg and after a pull didnt even get above 115 and the ambient temp was 52. here are a couple pics:
(sorry, i know the car is a tad dusty and the lower lip on my bumper is cracked, getting fixed in spring though. poor mystic......damn that fox!)

i did! i used the torque app on my gs3. it was about 52 deg outside and and i was only seeing 95-100 and 110-115 after a pull. im using the predefined pid for the app for that measurement and there was a thread about this app where you had to manually enter the info but they have added ford tables which included that and it looks about right. i was using a trans cooler temporarily before i got this one and it stayed around 150-160 and over 180 after a pull! i cant complain with those reults!

Any clue what they are for stock heat exchangers? You're running a port?

not sure what they are? i dont even know what they were with my lfp since i didnt have the app then. but im sure others can compare it to their numbers with other brands and see if its normal or better or comparable. and yes running steggy4 with 2.76/stock lower and unported dragon tb/plenum. i dont know what typical numbers are for iat temps but my coolant temp was about 185 deg and iat2 was about 98-100 and this was durring cruise for about 1/2hr straight in low 50 deg weather. for under $150 shipped i couldnt beat it and the quality is superb on the piece. 2 core dual pass.the core measures 24"x8"x2.5" overall size: 31.5"x9.5"x3.5" with 3/4 inlet/outlets. the lfp measures 30"x6"x3" overall. not sure about core size and its $300

What size did you buy? I'm going to order one tonight.

Edit: nvm I read the post above.

I guess the only down side is that I already have an expansion tank for the IC and would rather have the inlet/outlet on the same side.

Yeah I just extended one of the hoses underneath the radiator to come around the other side. The company also makes this one with same side ports. It's a tad smaller than the one I have about the same as Afco and lfp ones but it's a two row also and is $165 on their site. Maybe cheaper on eBay.

Great job on the install. Looks nice. You sure solved your temperature issues. To drop from 160 degree (and hotter) down to 95-100 deg (and after a pull around 115) is awesome! I'd say you surely got your money's worth! :)

This will probably be the heat exchanger I end up going with. It's on my winter mod list. Plus, it looks amazing behind the bumper.

Yeah it came out really nice, and came with brackets welded to the sides that made mounting a breeze! And the performance seems very good. They make nice stuff, having dealt with them in the past I knew it was gonna be good quality. Made in the usa too lol.

I actually just order an aluminum coolant tank from them as well. They make everything!

So I'm guessing out of these you chose the bottom one?

Liquid /Water to Air Intercooler 18"x13"x4.5" and $199
Liquid /Water to Air Intercooler 19.5"x13"x4.75" and $329
Liquid /Water to Air Intercooler 12"x12.5"x4.5" and $139

DT is correct. The other ones I believe are the kits for turbo cars they sell. My part number is HE002

Ambient temp of 52 is not the best indicator of how well this is performing.

Your absolutely right, however, it was colder last week when it was reading much higher temps and its still running a ton cooler! It's almost 70 out today so I'll log it in a few and post a screen shot

Good find and nice workmanship. Since I already have an afco pro I am going to add the spal fans and a 170 degree t stat to help out.
