I've seen several threads lately about TVS blowers and thought it would be nice to consolidate some TVS information in a thread with the following information: type of setup, tune, RWHP/RWTQ and if you've ran the 1/4, post those times as well. Yes, I know who the 1/4 mi. KING is with a TVS... :) This will give everyone an idea what the TVS can do with the type of setup.

Here's my info.....

SETUP:

07 GT500
2.3L TVS
VMP 66mm Throttlebody
JLT CAI
2.6" Upper Pulley
I/W 10% Overdrive Lower
FMS 80lb Injectors
Kenne Bell Dual BAP
Metco Auxillary Idler
JBA Off Road X-pipe
Magna Flow A/B
AFCO Dual Heat Exchanger w/ single SPAL 7.5" fan
Moroso Intercooler Reservoir
Steeda LCA
FMS Girdle
FMS 3.73
M&H 275/50/17 @ 15psi (track)

DYNO:

645whp; 639rwtq Dynotype: Mustang Dyno
Depending on who you talk to anywhere between 5-10% difference between Mustang Dyno and DynoJet. So, with 5% I would be around the 670rwhp/670rwtq on a DynoJet.

TUNE:

17 degrees / 93 pump gas @ 19lb boost

1/4 times:

60' - 1.829
330 - 4.719
1/8 - 7.065
MPH - 106.06
1000 - 9.096
1/4 - 10.831
MPH - 124.90

Ok...Let's see em......

Thanks

************* UPDATE ****************

Went to MIR for a track rental 12/18/09 and got a personnel best:

60' - 1.764
330 - 4.672
1/8 - 7.010
MPH - 106.00
1000 - 9.051
1/4 - 10.734
MPH - 134.51

The good - I can say that my intercooler issues are corrected, didn't pull any timing. My downstream temps never got above 113 degrees. My AFCO and single 7.5" SPAL fan worked great.

The bad - Clutch starting slipping and got worse every run ... Couldn't better my 60' times....

I've probably got the very least amount of supporting mods to go along with the TVS blower.

TVS 2.3
FRPP CAI
Custom tune / 93 octane
Magnaflow 3" cat-back
13psi of boost

578rwhp on Dynojet

What is it good for just by itself (rest of the car stock)?

Well, my car is about as close to stock as you can get.

My car made ~440rwhp stock. With the FRPP/TVS kit (blower + FRPP CAI + FRPP tune) it made 540rwhp. Add Magnaflow cat-back + custom tune = 578rwhp.

Basically by itself with a conservative Ford tune, you should pick up 100rwhp and keeping the air charge temps down due to the efficiency of the blower.

Putting down some good HP/TQ with your setup and your mph really shows it...! Our cars really love cool weather (50deg..) Do you know your MAX WOT timing on your tune?

My 1/4 mi (124 MPH) is low due to high downstream temps, pulling 10+ degrees of timing (have that corrected now and waiting on good weather to go back to the track) Now I can hope for 134+...

Come on...let's see those TVS #'s...I know there's more out there....!

Thanks,

And that's why I went this route. There are plenty of guys making as much, or more, power as I am with the stock blower. However, the TVS is significantly more efficient, which means more consistent power and less heat build-up. I also have full factory warranty intact, and with the very minor supporting mods it ended up to be nearly 140rwhp gain... with no long tubes, stock pullies, stock H/E, stock idler pulleys, etc.

It's not the fastest, but I can do some of the other things later, and if I wanted to go really fast, I would not have bought a convertible.

Yes, you'll get in the 132-134 range for sure, as evidenced by your 106+ 1/8mile trap. Makes sense about the 10^ timing pull on the top-end. How did you correct this issue?

Are these tunes you order with the TVS from supporting vendors on here pretty safe? I'm close to pulling the trigger on the TVS/tune only and would hate to always have to take it to some shop to play with timing/etc...Is there some kind of set it and forget it package?

Replaced my OEM H/E with an AFCO H/E and put a SPAL 7.5" fan on it.

Plus found out, my I/C pump was cultivating, and got a different intercooler reservoir.

You can use Ford's CAI and tune that comes with TVS kit. The tune is very conservative (safe) and does not void warranty. I believe WA 2 FST has the same setup as what your looking at. I already had XCal2, JLT CAI, 4lb lower pulley, etc., so I didn't need Fords CAI or tune. I just had Jon Lund tune my car and all is fine.

I just dove into the TVS market last week. Hope to get all the goodies installed in about a week or so. Anybody got a ballpark rwhp and tq estimate for.
JLT, monoblade, L&M elbow, TVS w/2.6 pulley and an IW 10% lower along with a off-road x-pipe and 72 # injectors.

Congrats...! You'll love it....You have close to my setup minus L&M elbow. You should be around 670-680rwhp & rwtq mark on a DynoJet....Let us know what you put down when you find out:thumbsup:...

This was from March. TVS, VMP TB, JLT CAI, IW 10% lower, stock upper, VMP tune, Bassani exhaust, MT 305 DRs. 667rwhp on dynojet. One run in the 10s and they ask you to leave (no cage)

Great ET and 60' times! What kind of suspension do you have?

At the time it was stock. That was the first trip with the GT500 to the track. There were 4 other runs, but let off early as the launches were poor (bogging or spinning), all with 60' 1.88-2.12. That one just bit hard so I stayed in it. Now I have the Griggs racing GR40SS with watts. No more wheel hop at all. I've not had it back to the 1/4 track as I'm more of an open track event person now.
