Full Tilt Boogie Racing is proud to finally announce our latest design in reduced weight and improved looks, 2 pc front and rear rotors for 2007-2011 GT500's. These rotors have Hardcoated aluminum hats with plated grade 8 attaching hardware. The rotors are directionally vaned, slotted, stress relieved and clear zinc plated for a nice lasting appearance. Front rotor pair sells for $675.00 plus freight. Rear rotor pair sells for $595.00 plus freight.

Replacement rotor rings are as follows:

14" Fronts: Stress Relieved Rings only; $188.00 each, add $15.50 each for slotting and $10.00 each for clear zinc plating.

11.8" Rears: Rings only; $100.00 each, add $15.00 each for slotting and $10.00 each for clear zinc plating.

Shelby GT500/S-197 14" front 2 pc rotor weight:

The weight savings are as follows:

Front OEM rotor 25.32# each. Our rotors 19.8# for a weight savings of 5.52# each and a total front weight savings of 11.04# for the pair. This is a typical weight savings you find in a pair of lighweight wheels that cost considerably more than what these rotors cost. So with the addition of a pair of lightweight wheels you could easily remove 20# of unsprung parasitic rotating mass off of the heavy front end of a GT500. These rotors are unfortunately not suited for road race duty. However they are perfect for Street/Strip duty.

The rear OEM rotor weighs 13# each. Our rotors weigh 10.56# for a weight savings of 2.44# each and a total rear weight savings of 4.88# for the pair. I do have some ideas for taking a little more weight out of the rear rotors but I won't know how much until the next run.

One complete set is available right now and another two sets will be available by the end of May.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Bruce since they are 2pc. rotors can you replace just the rotors and keep the hats to keep cost down when need to be replaced?

Absolutely. The rotor rings can be replaced at very reasonable prices. The hats should last the life of the vehicle and also look good the entire time.

I can post up replacement rotor prices tomorrow when I get back in the office.

bling! they look great! they look a bit more substantial than the first set of 2pc rotors too.

Yes they are. The rotor and hat assembly is 1.6# (each) heavier than the previous generation. Some of it is in the more stout hat design but obviously the majority of the additional weight is in the rotor.

Would y'all offer drilled/slotted rotors or just drilled rotors? Also I am looking for black rotors as well for a shelby. I'm trying to get everything black on the car. Let me know because I want some rotors that fit the stock calipers, but maybe are +1's and also slotted and/or drilled as well. That'd be nice.

We won't be offering any drilled rotors. Too many potential cracking issues with them.

We could look into a black coating but the braking surface where the pads are riding will be bare iron.

Let us know if you're interested and we'll look into it.

Alright. I'm waiting for when I need another brake job to get new rotors and pads. I can't really get new calipers now because I got new rims that barely clear the calipers so i can't go bigger.

Dave:

Here is what I added to the original post:

Replacement rotor rings are as follows:

14" Fronts: Stress Relieved Rings only; $188.00 each, add $15.50 each for slotting and $10.00 each for clear zinc plating.

11.8" Rears: Rings only; $100.00 each, add $15.00 each for slotting and $10.00 each for clear zinc plating.

I talked to my rotor guy and he said they could do a drilled rotor. The cost is $55.00 per rotor. If you want me to look into some black plating I will. I could also do black oxide on the attaching hardware as well. Let me know if you want me to look into it. You'll have to promise to never visit a road course with them! :dw:

any plans for a larger rear rotor??

I do have the 2 pc rotor for the 13" rear Steeda conversion kit in stock. They are being liquidated at $100 per rotor so if you're interested, let me know.

Are you planning on doing away with the 13" rear rotors?

When I originally developed the rear 13" IRS brake conversion kit for the SN-95, I used the Steeda S-197 13" rear conversion rotor as a template. Then I jumped the gun and made the rotors and hats.

Well as fate would have it, I ended up changing the off-set on the SN-95 13" rear rotor and now I have all of these 13" Steeda S-197 rotors that I will most likely never be able to use up myself so I'm liquidating them.

We will still have the SN-95 13" IRS brake conversions for the foreseeable future.

We've finally received our newest addition to our rotor line. The heavy duty road race version of our S-197 14" front 2pc rotors.

These rotors are actually heavier walled than the OEM Brembos. The braking faces on these new rotors average .367" thick with a center air gap of .515". The Brembos have average braking face thickness of .335" and air gap of .585". Our rotors are directionally vaned and will pump more cooling air than the non-directional OEM Brembos.

Here is a photo of the front of the rotor showing the rotor weight of 23.88# a 1.44# weight savings over the 25.32# OEM Brembo. Total weight savings for two rotors would be 2.88#.

And finally a thickness and air gap side by side comparison of the OEM brembo and the FTBR road race HD version.

These rotors assemblies along with the replacement rings will be priced the same as our S-197 front lightweight street/strip rotors in the OP. We hope to have them on our site soon.

I'd be happy to answer any questions anyone may have!
