Did you even try to search 11 GT500? I don't even mean on this site but other places, there's tons of articles explaining the diff between 10 and 11.

Ex. 2011 Alum block, saves around 120 lbs or so.

The price on the 2010s are pretty good right now, unless you need a particular feature of the 2011 I would think the money you save on the 2010 would be the way to go(it was for me anyway).

Biggest difference is the BLOCK. Now the 2011 also have a SVT package.

Just get what you can afford you will be happy with either one.

This is what make's the 2011 different

Improved exhaust
Improved heat exchanger
Electric power steering
AL block
Standard HID's
FGT Blue Valve covers
FGT SC finish
10 additional HP
No gas guzzler tax
Chassis and suspension improvments on convertiable's 30% stiffer
1 mpg better
120 pounds lighter
Improved brake cooling
Improved underbody aerodynamics
Improved sound detoning
Improved SYNC
$1,800 increase over 2010

Optional
3.73 gears
Lightweight 19" and 20" rims w/ bad ass tires
Improved shocks and struts
Improved sway bars
Lower springs
Adjustable rear spoiler
Unique Shifter ball
Unique Stripes (optional)
Unique Color combo's
Glass roof

If you're like most and like the look of the 2010's WAY better dont worry because the 2011's look 100% the exact same way, and differences you see are optional equipment.

saw a 2011 svt performance pak, red w/stripe delete, and realized the new style isn't too bad afterall...

you just gotta weigh what you want to do with car. you going to leave it stock (yeah, as if any of us do...), then go 2011 w/svt perf. pak. otherwise you can get the same look and better results (most likely) with the money saved on a 2010 (or even 08 or 09 KR) and mods...

freaking sweet. i'm hoping a few of yall will jump on the '11 and let us know how they respond to mods and how the al block works out. then i can trade in my '08 for a '12!!!

i'm guessing with the increase in price, 1800, minus the gas guzzler tax, 2000, the price should be about the same as the '10....

Aluminum block contains NO iron sleave. Ford is using a patented process to fuse a lining inside the bore that is supposed be better, stronger and more durable. Brembo front rotors...and dealer told me VVT? ,

BigDan,
thanks for the list of information. I mean, I have a 2010 but I didn't know there were that many differences.
