Surprise in the Driveway...

So I stumble down to get the paper this morning and find this fellow belly-up.

He was barely alive; so not too fun to play with but worthy of pictures. Its not every day you see a beetle of some sort the size of your big toe!

oh man, that thing is huge.

Hell, here in Texas we use bugs that size as bait for the big bugs...

man i hate big bugs....i had 4 wolf spiders in my basement.....i'll get a pic up for you guys

It's abdomen (on average in my basement) was about 2-3 inches ass to face......if you measure across the span of their legs it was about 5-7 inch average

We got wolf spiders around here too. Wolf spiders are predators and don't spn a web. They catch and kill their prey the old fashioned way. Tha fauckers are real fast too! The females carry the babies on her back. 1,000's at a time!

yea man those bastards are fast as hell; if you don't spray em fast they get away

Thats why you have to use a lighter in unison with the spray. That'll slow them bastards down!! Cant run very fast with charred legs.

I hate spiders as well. We don't have a lot of real big ones usually. I kill them all on site though; not taking any chances.

I didn't step on this fellow; but he was later run over with a 3/4 ton Ram.

Hell yeh man, my grandparents live in Northern Alabama, about 20 miles from scotsborro and i used to see those big ass beetles too.

Thats a chunky beatle but if you want big bugs come to florida, we got some monsters here.
