Are the factory 00R rims racing rims like the '95R R58's? Will they clear 14" brake kits?

I think they'll fit because there is a lot of clearance with the 13" brakes.

yea...thats what i was looking for. If anyone has a spare track set or two, I would be interested in buying them. I want to try some 275/35-18 tires to see how they handle vs the 275/40-17's.

I have the Brembo Gran Turismo kit on my #05 car and it will be on my Bondurant #55 car shortly.

My '00R is using the factory wheels with 14" Baer/Alcon brake upgrade and they clear with plenty of room.

I have seen comparisons of tests in several magazines regarding the handling comparison of 17s vs 18s. In the comparisons I read there was no benefit to using the 18 for handling purposes. Now for fitting larger brakes, that is obvious, of cours there is more room w/ an 18.

the word i am hearing on the new toyo R888 is that it has a very sloppy sidewall compared to the RA1. That the fix is stiffer springs and shorter sidewall if possible.

If I can get my hands on a set of the y2k r's I was going to do my own test.
