you're right. people will never learn that they need to be able to handle a
500+hp car before they run it that hard on the street.

Actually I'd say people need to learn that you don't run it that hard on a suburban street and especially with people standing around.

The temps of the ground are to cold to get good traction this time of year. That is why all the drag strips and road courses are closed. Unfortuneatley common sense did not win this time.

I am willing to bet the drivers were young and under the influence. Also a bad combo.

Be carefull out there people.

wow no way ... that was the "spot" that was supposedly starting to get good.

Interesting ... a bunch of RD folks run out there. That sucks.

This is a regular spot for street racing, in fact I am sure some of our members have attended in the past.

im sure it was one of the races where they have people lined all up and down the road.
nothing wrong with street racing but that kind is way too dangerous

One dead was a 51 year old father, there with his daughter.
The race had just ended when the Crown Vic plowed into the crowd...without it's headlights on. Unclear yet if it was in the race, but one person dead was in the CV.

To be honest, I'm surprised people race through there, that road is such a damn crap pile that I spend about half of my commute just trying to keep my car in it's lane because of all the ruts.

Glad I never got into that scene...I'll stick with the track.
