Howdy again. Im really new and need some advice. My power steering fluid is low and my manual is nowhere to be found. Would anyone happen to know what type of fluid i can use to fill the level back to normal and where it can be bought. I didnt know if it was a factory special or if it could be bought just about anywhere. Thanks ahead mates.:beer:

Well no luck. I went to auto zone and they had Coastal DexMerc (which said compatible with most fords) but I didnt want to chance it. So I called the local ford dealership and they said it takes Dexron III and to call the parts dept. Then I call the parts dept. and they say they dont carry it and have dexron v only, but that its "the same thing". So... always do your research. Now i guess Ill check a few other part stores. Maybe Oreilly.

Dont worry just use the latest version of Mercon or Dextron Ford approved automatic transmission fluid.
that coastal DEXMERC should be fine.
