So I just bought my terminator about 6-8 weeks ago, and really love the car. Id like to get into open track racing and with some help of some local guys ordered my first round of mods. I wont be on the track till next season but heres what Ive got so far:

Front and Rear Strut Tower Bar
Cobra R Shocks and Struts
Aluminum IRS Bushings
Brake Duct Cooling Kit
HardLaunch Bar
IRS Brace
SS Brake Lines Front and Rear
Caster/Camber Plates
4pt K Member Brace
Aluminum Rack Bushings
Adjustable Tie Rod Kit
Sway Bar Endlink Kit for lowered cars

That will probably be all until winter, but come winter I want to do (in order of first to last)

If you get into it you'll need to address differential cooling.

LOL
Brake ducting is important, but with the right pads, not a top-of-the-list. I haven't bothered with brake ducts on the A/Sedan car and it was built in '95. Wouldn't even think of autocrossing on street tires.
Ok, that's not true, but it isn't any fun to me.

I've been racing something over 30 years- AMA in the 70-80's- I think I mentioned I got passed by the best, Burleson, Rosseler, Higgins-, SCCA since '84.
I've seen folks spend tons of money and still not go as fast as folks that worked on skills. Randy Pobst comes mind. He and Jeff Altenburg both beat up on a bunch of people (myself included) without spend tons of money back in the '80's and they turned out pretty good.

I'd move brakes up one slot on the list, and air freshener near the top!

Works for Tom. :D

Please dear Lord, tell me all these parts (in red ) have NOT been ordered yet!

These cars are so fast stock, even leaving them totally alone(stock) you are still almost cheating yourself out of some valuable sliding and recovery practice.

brake cooling ducts, fresh brake fluid, maybe SFCs and all the seat time you can afford.... that's it.

good brake fluid, fresh engine oil, and tires with some good tread on em
maybe after a few events a diff cooler, some better pads, a fixed bucket(this was a necessity in my gt with the super slick cheap leather seats, and some additional engine cooling if needed,
then the mods can begin after that

if you get bored and deem it necessary to dump money into the car, some gauges that are actually functional unlike the stockers are always nice, and front brake cooling is also a good idea, although I still haven't gotten around to it.

depending on how much seat time he gets, he might need an air freshener before then. :-D
