I was wondering if anyone is running this setup and/or have any pics of this setup?

I am planning on switching over to street tires after my DR's are done and I am looking to go a tad wider as long as the buldge isn't too bad. I found a couple online but not very good pics.

Thanks

10mm wider than a 275 is on 5mm wider a side and 25.4mm is an inch so its not a huge difference in height increase or width.

As little as the difference is, you can tell. The height really seems to fill the wheel well better with a 285/40 in the rear. I now have 275/40 NT-05's on all four corners and at first I actually thought I had the wrong size tire in the rear because it looked so small.

I'll probably go back to the 285 NT555's in the rear because they wear better and have deeper tread when new. The 275 NT-05's look dinky too with the "rain tread."

hmm 275/40 is 110mm vs 114mm for a 285/40 sidewall height

4mm is not very much 2mm top/bottom I guess some tire brands vary sidewall height perhaps.

Yeah, I'm not sure how to really explain a visible difference with just 4mm. That's assuming that calculation is as straight forward as we are taught. Either way, the "fill" difference in the wheel well before and after was apparent to me. It doesn't seem as drastic anymore and it's nice to have the ability to rotate all four tires on my own, albeit front to back only.

275/285 staggered on stock wheels.

Wow thanks for this pic...it is EXACTLY what I was looking for because these are the exact tires I want to get after my 555R's are done and I wanted the 285's. I know 10mm isn't a huge difference it's just that I found a pic online of supposedly the same setup but it looked like it had a lot more bulge than yours so I was leaning away from it.

How about running them(285's ) on all 4 corners, any issues? The pics look great of the rears but it would be nice to be able to rotate front to back as well.

Here's a picture of my old setup. These are 285/40/17's on the stock 9 inch. I'm now running the 10.5 wheel with a 315 nitto 555 street tire. The 285's fit easily on the stock rim. I believe you would be fine running them on all 4 corners as I have seen a guy run 315's on the front. He probably modified something to do that but I don't think you would need to for a 285 on the front.
