Has anyone run a Cobra with a 2.93/4# lower/stock unported Eaton and the
airfilter, exhaust, and tune mods? I am wondering what the dyno would read
and how it would do in the 1/4 mile. One guy says he has 474/525 with it.
Any info would be much appreciated. I am not looking for ported Eatons.
Trying to avoid the supporting mods. Thanks.

The 475 rwhp number is about right, but the torque is high. I would expect it to be closer to 500.

I'm about to get this setup, not IDEAL but it will work. At minimum, get a HE if you don't have one.

I've wondering what this combo would do. I figure it would be about the same boost level as the pullies I want to do.

That is a good combo but you will be making some serious heat, really should go with the port to get the most out of that combo.

Most definately. Fortunately I do alot of freeway driving and pretty much never get to a track. If I did, I would pick up an IC resovoir first and throw some ice in it.

This combo that I am looking into is this : K&N filter, SCT tune, Magnaflow catback,
Stiegemier ported throttlebody, Stiegemier ported plenum, BilletFlow 2.93 upper pulley,
Metco 4 LB. lower pulley, and 4 BilletFlow idlers. I am hoping for 475 rwhp/525 rwtq.
I am not wanting to go with the ported Eaton because of the cost of the mod and
also all the supporting mods. So far, I have not seen anyone with a ported Eaton
beat their stock Eaton times.I am looking for torque not horsepower increases. I want
start to 1/8th to be very strong, not so concerned about the 1/8th to the 1/4. Ported
Eatons work great but pull hard in the upper rpm's. They don't work so great in lower
rpm's.That's why Bob made the Stage 4, to deal with torque loss. This should work well
with drag radials and a bigger heat exchanger.

How would this combo be for a daily driver?

About the same as stock, but a little louder... until you put your foot into it. The pulleys won't change anything until you kick in the boost.

Ken, I ran this combo for a year and got 481.50 RWHP and 525.39 RWTQ out of it. Had a great time with it and loved the torque! Very streetable and, as we all know, drag strip performance with these cars is very driver dependent. I'd say 1.6-1.7 60' times with some clean shifting should get you some 11.6's+/-......

??? Pre-port my best time was [email protected], ported last month ran [email protected]. Adding a lower (unported) did lower my ET's 2 tenths and added 2.5 more mph. The port got me another 3 mph and almost another 2 tenths! BTW - I did all the supporting mods when the lower was added unported.

You had 481rwhp/525rwtq and now you have 524rwhp/533rwtq, so
you must have gone with a ported Eaton, right?
