I remember someone posting about this not too long ago but what exactly would I use this for? How would this benefit my car? Is this considered a bolt on product?

S&B Breather 5/8 clamp on flange [P-SBBR] - $15.00 : JLT PERFORMANCE, Home of the JLT TRUE COLD AIR KIT

Are you familiar with internal combustion engines and the PCV systems they use?

If not you likely would not understand.
But if you do.. here goes.
Some people opt to use a breather instead of an oil vapor catch device in order to reduce oil going into the intake tract. Breathers allow a small amount of un-metered air to be ingested which can SLIGHTLY alter the a/f mixer to the lean side.
I use a pair of these instead, offered by the same manufacturer JLT.
JLT PCV Pre-Filter JLT PCV Pre-Filter [PCVPF] - $47.00 : JLT PERFORMANCE, Home of the JLT TRUE COLD AIR KIT

They also have a newer product which is even better, the oil separator.
JLT Oil Separator [JLTOS] - $119.00 : JLT PERFORMANCE, Home of the JLT TRUE COLD AIR KIT

2 is probably over kill i would run 1 separator on the drivers side where the PCV is then you can run the pre-filter on the passenger side.

Sorry, let me correct myself here. I bought two pre-filters one for each side. This was before JLT sold the full blown oil separator.
