Cooling mod ???

Ive been reading a little about the cooling mod for the termis. Is it really needed ? How many of you guys have it ?

I do not have it. I guess it depends on what you plan to do with your car. If you do 4th, 5th, 6th gear runs, you should do it.

if your running more boost and are running the car this is a must mod in my opinion.

its cheap insurance always look at it that way

You can also upgrade your heads to the 01/2005 (and later) version. They have revised coolant passages. A more expensive way to go, but the best option.

I think for most its like many mods; peace of mind. I did it when I smoked the clutch and went the LDC cooling mod.

I haven't seen any data saying how well it works, but imo, it obviously gets rid of the restriction/dead end from the driver side head. So I conclude that it can't hurt to do. My cars have all had it.
