I was riding in my 03 cobra with my bro just cruising around when 2 guys in a WRX Turbo pulled up next to us. We looked at each other, smiled, and started fooling around a bit. We race low end quite a few times cause there was a lot of traffic. I'm not sure what he had on the car but the blow off valve sounded good. I could pretty much walk him easily but it was fun he was pretty cool, we gave each other the thumbs up and went our separate ways. Off the line might have been a little different though!

i love those nights where you have 8 or 9 races!! Unfortunately, those nights are usually also the nights I break stuff.

I was challenged by some dude in a STI. I am getting a little worried. All I have is a Flowmaster Cat Back System and Factory Shaker hood Intake.

Don't race him off the line! The higher roll you do the better off you'll be. There known to be like mid 13 second cars, but what the hell give it a shot!

Standard WRX Turbo's are 14 sec cars but there are a lot of mods available for its engine.

Standard STi's with an average driver are mid 13 sec cars. Good drivers are hitting ~13 secs (I've heard of one or two hitting high 12.9's and several in the 13-13.1x category, stock). There are not too many mods available for the STi now but the guys running with modded intakes/exhaust are in the 12.6 range.

Scary Boy, Street Racing and Drag Racing are 2 different things. One day you'll learn that! One involves counting it down and going- the other involves running off the line down the track!

The STi has tons of parts available. 95% of the parts of the wrx fit the sti. Turbos, intakes, exhausts, all fuel items fit the Sti. Theres a few with upgraded turbos running around/

Evoish,

Yeah, I agree, the intake/exhaust items are there. I've read of just a few with upgraded turbos/FMCIs but they're few and far between..costly items. Once chips are available the fun will start. This is where the 2.5L is lagging.
