11 SHO non PP 1st time at the track

Went to State Capital last night in Baton Rouge with some friends. Didn't have time to put tires on the Shelby, and was bringing the wife/kids so the L was a no go. The SHO is a non PP edition so it's stuck with 2.7x final drive gearing. Keep in mind it was 85-89 degree's and swamp like conditions, not mine shaft air like up north. Also no cooldowns. I was bringing it up to about 2200rpms then mashing the gas. Not sure if it would've been quicker just coming off at idle, but I'd think a load on the turbo's would be better.

So factory stock down to the paper plate....14.09 @ 99 in the heat. With great weather I believe it will go some 13.5's @ 102-103, based on past expieriences with the 04 cobra, Lightning, and Shelby.

Pretty good for a stock car imo. My wifes PP SHO with a tune only went something like an 8.77 @ 87mph in 90*+ heat.

Wow, thats damn impressive. I wonder how well it carries that through the quarter. Thats a mid 12 second car if it keeps gaining.

Who's tune?

Tuning by James did that tune but he had a tune before that one that was freakin crazy! The car got worked on and the computer was reflashed with the latest things and the tune after that wasn't what the first one was. He could never get it back there either plus some slow part throttle shifting issues.

Now we have some from Rick @ Livernois which are doing better than the last tune by James. Just haven't gotten it back to the track.

You put a tune in that and you'll crap at how much it picks up. Unreal how these things respond.

That's about what our non PP car ran in stock form as well. As posi mentioned, a tune really wakes them up!

You're right about good weather, it'll really improve times. Heat kills the ET in these cars.

Our went 14.1X @ 99 mph stock and 12.98 @ 105 mph with our stage 2 tune and Corsa Exhaust.

We have a customer who now has the quickest/fastest known Gen IV SHO. It has a CAI, Corsa, our methanol kit, and our stage 4 tune and has been a best of 12.30 @ 110.52.
