I've had bad luck with all of them, but Fed Ex by far was the worst... I've had them send things to the wrong house, the same wrong house, more then once....

i ave had the same problem at my house with fed ex. i ordered mustang parts from summit and somewhere else, 2 times in 1 week they delivered my shit to the house up the street.

they have done it at least one other time that i can think of with computer parts from newegg.com.

i hate fedex. we use UPS at work and i have no issues with at all. our normal pickup guy at work is really awesome too.

It's all about local personel with companies as large as UPS and FedEx. If your local people have their shit straight chances are they are the "best" in your region.

My local UPS delivery man is more consistent than my FedEx guy, which means if I'm expecting a package I don't have to take time off work for a UPS delivery because he arrives at my apt between 1530-1600 EVERY damn day.

Can't believe UPS left a 700.00 laptop on my doorstep while I was gone. Incredibly, it was still there when I got home that evening.

2500 dollar blower on mine yesterday. No complaints here! Maybe you all should live in a better neighborhood?

last summer, they delivered a laptop I had purchased on line and laid it on a row of 24 mailboxes at an apartment complex i lived at....my door was 12 feet away.

really ups?

SOMETIMES, THEY WILL PULL IN MY DRIVE AND HONK THE HORN BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO LAZY TO WALK TO MY DOOR.

The UPS guy that works my area is awesome. I usually have 1-2 packages(sometimes more) arriving at my house every month and if I'm not at home, depending on the package, he'll either leave it in the mailbox or swing by one more time once he's done with my immediate area.

We'll shoot the shit on occasion and he tells me about his brothers Mach1 or talks about cycling since we are both into road biking.

But fedex also has great service around here. USPS is always on time too... I'm guessing some of you guys need to make friends with your local drivers, it can only help.

I like UPS waaaay more than the other two. I've never once had a single problem with them. They're always right on schedule, tracking updated regularly, and they always leave everything at the door. Fedex I can count on taking an extra day due to them never leaving anything at the door on first delivery attempt or I have to drive to the facility. With the USPS, it's anybody's guess when it's gonna get delivered. Their tracking system is worthless

They all suck as far as I'm concerned, and I count myself lucky anytime any of them get it right.

UPS, Fedex, USPS, they are all one in the same. They all destroy more packages than they don't it seems.

When I owned my business we chose UPS as they had the best rates and insurance, as well as our own personal experiences with damaged packages. One delivery we sent out was a batch of 20 subwoofer enclosures weighing between 40-85 lbs a piece. Out of 20, we had to file a damage claim for 11........

Two separate times they lost our packages. Just disappeared from there tracking systems. They found both about 1.5 months later. How do you loose a 65 lb package that measures over 50 inches long?

Thankfully all of this shipping drama occurred right as I sold my end of the business. My partner eventually went with another carrier.

UPS is Union i believe. My roomate just got a job there a few days ago. He was telling my how crazy it was with pkgs being thrown. He said people would toss laptops from the conveyer belt with a total disregard for the product contents. Eh theyre prob all likethat esp considering its the holidays.

i was tracking it online and it said delivered at 830am.....so, i called and started bitching. the delivery required a signature. first of all, trying reach anyone at UPS is nothing short of a miracle. they said i had signed for it and i said bullshit prove it. the driver just scribbled because i sure didnt. i told her nothing was delivered. she told me to go look for it or ask my neighbors if they got it. so, finally found it laying on top of the mailboxes....i could have been a dick and said i never got it and filed a claim.

coulda....

Muahaha, thanks for the good laugh.

They did a test in a Popular Mechanics magazine not long ago on the 3 major parcel carriers, USPS, FedEx and UPS. They put sensors in their 3 packages and believe it or not USPS rated the best for being "gentlest" with your package. But they also found out that Express mail flies via Fed/EX. They could also read temps and acceleration spikes. And that things marked "Fragile" or "this side up" tended to be flipped and tossed around more.
