Why not go with a Magnason on your Vette instead?

are you planning on going with an 03/04, or getting an older cobra and building it/sc'ing it?

I already have a Supercharger on the Vette, ATI Single intercooler system. I was looking for an 03 or 04 Cobra....

04' cobra would be a great start....the posibilities are endless! Most people start off with headers, x-pipe, cat back, smaller pullies, K&n intake and a good tune. But if you want to get serious just skip most of that and get a Kenne Bell to replace the factory Eaton....or if you want to be more orginal ATI has a nice blower for the 03 and 04's with very impresive results.

Yes but it's not a roots style, would be a completely different ride, trust me.

How do the O2 Cobras take to SC (ATI or Vortech)??? Does KB make an intercooled unit????

I am really tired of paying the "Corvette" tax. Great cars, but there has to be a cheaper way to have fun and kill tires!!

Thanks for any info..

any mod motor loves the boost...with the 02 and older models you wont get forged pistons and rods though so your max safe boost will be around 8-10 depending on who you talk to. I have seen in people's signatures that from just 8lbs of boost they would put down around 400-430 to the ground easy. The ATI kit doesnt come with everything you need like an FMU or injectors or a coupon for a chip like the vortech kit does. The ATI comes with a front mount intercooler depending on teh kit you get it will either a 2 or three row intercooler. the vortech either comes with no type of aftercooler or it comes with a water to air aftercooler which after 10 psi loses it's ablity to cool while an intercooler from say SHM will contine to cool to around 20 degrees above ambient tempurature. here are some cfm #'s on some of the popular head units out there:
vortech V1 or V2 S(SC) trim max CFM 1000 max HP 675
ATI P600B 1200 825
Vortech V1 T trim 1200 825
ATI P-1SC-1 OR 2 1200 825
ATI D-1 (SC) 1400 950
VORTECH V-7 JT TRIM 1450 1000
ATI F-1 1500 1025
VORTECH V-7 YS TRIM 1500 1025
VORTECH V-4 J TRIM 1600 1100
PAXTON NOVI 2000 1700 1150
VORTECH V-4 X TRIM 1700 1150
VORTECH V-4 XX TRIM 1850 1275
VORTECH V-4 Z TRIM 2000 1375
ATI D-1R AND F-1R 2000 1375
ATI F-2M 2250 1550
ATI F-2 2700 1850
ATI D-2R 2800 1925
ATI F-3C 3250 2225
ATI D-3R 3400 2325
ATI F-3 3600 2475
ATI F-3R 3800 2600
ATI F-4 4300 2950

for KB flow numbers sorry I dont have info on those. I know for my model year there is no intercooler like the 03 and 04's so boost level is limited on those because of the heat issue. I would go with a cetrifical type supercharger IMO they are better suited for the strip because they make power up top where it matters now on a street car you want it down low-mid because that is where you spend most of your time at in the RPM band just cruising around. So it's a matter of how serious do you want to get???
