lol at all of this.
Did not know about WRC. Did not say I wasn't going buy a brand?
You did it in your original post- then you went back deleted it.
It was quoted in post 9, 10, 11, and 15

They should at least offer taxpayers free tickets, no?
That, or a cut of the winnings.
Yeah I'm not happy about it and it does make me wonder what Force will do. I bet he retires.. who knows. As far as pro stock. ..oh well they don't sponsor anyone anyway. ..morgan has long days what he gets from Ford is barely anything. Not that he's ever a contender anyway. ..... sadly
The issue I have is Ford at one point was very involved with drag racing and little by little they have back away from it. To me it is forgetting what made you the company you are and turning your back on the past.
...Ford is simply making smart business decisions. If the thing they invest in don't provide the returns they expect, there's no point in staying involved.

If professional drag racing can't get any support from the enthusiasts in an enthusiasts forum, then I must admit that our testicles have fallen off.
Ford was simply making a "smart" business decision in mid-1980's when they were going to make the Mustang a FWD 4-pot import wannabe too. Sometimes the bean counters get things wrong. Sometimes they need the fanatics to tell them such. Had a bunch of spineless jellyfish been the only "active" enthusiasts back in the 80's, we wouldn't have a Mustang today.

But when you stop supporting the things that made your hardcore base HARDCORE, it will cost you that base. Maybe not in the next 10 years, but that base will wear away over time and not be replenished. It takes years to build that kind of brand loyalty...
