The big tunes definitely make a big difference, the change in throttle response makes it feel much stronger.

The only update I have is the addition of my new bumper sticker. I'm normally opposed to stickers on vehicles but certain ones get a pass. This is one of them. :D

Lower compression is definitely noticeable now that it's decently cold here. The coolant temp gauge drops before my eyes while the truck is idling with ambient temps of 10*F. Took about 10 minutes for it to go from normal to almost back down to the bottom. Still no problem with starting even at near zero and not plugged in, just chugs and puffs smoke for a while.

I would definitely be finding a way to discreetly start the truck if I had any close neighbors.

Man, i'd really love to know the compression change with just flycuts, still surprised at the difference it made!

I was messing around with my truck last night trying to pull a copy of the PCM, laptop died in the middle of it, so I had to reflash it, blah blah blah...long story short, I fired it up around zero degrees on low batteries and it jumped right to life with minimal drama. I plan on doing flycuts when I get a built engine, so would hate to lose that.

Yeah I'm really surprised at the difference that it made too. I guess factory spec is right on the cusp of what it needs to fire off cleanly in the cold.

It shouldn't be hard to figure out exactly what it is, since the only thing that changes is the piston, right?
Are the fly cut for valve clearance? Are they different from a delipped piston? Just have to figure how much material is taken from a stock piston and recalculate.

Man that sounds good

Truck sounds awesome. I love my 09 6.4. I bought the truck a few years back with 40k miles on it as my daily driver for my construction company and
snow plowing. I plan on doing all the bullit proof stuff after the warranty is up in 2 years. The truck will probably have about 60k miles on it around then.
Im hoping this truck last me along time cause when I bought it I knew nothing about diesels and have been relizing using them as a daily driver is not cheap
and, my gas mileage rite now is like 10mpg. The local gas station knows me by name cause Im there almost every day.lol. Awesome build buddy I just read every page
and glad it worked out for you.

I hate to be the one to say it, but I wouldn't wait for the warranty to be up. The sooner you get that crap off your truck, the better.

If that is an aftermarket warranty, cancel it now and cash it in. Then delete your truck ASAP.
