There is the option of offering it to the public via auction (with reserve). As owners and enthusiasts, we can offer intelligent speculation on you car's value, but there's no accounting for what can happen in an auction setting.

I remember a 00 being parted out a few years back around the Spokane, Washington area. I believe it was a result of a road racing accident at a track.

Bought at slightly under sticker.

We were fortunate to get ours when the market really bottomed out. It's crazy how much the prices have went up the past 3-4 years.

Mine makes the same noise, particularly when it's sat for a while.

Our 06 Ford GT gets the most attention, but I still prefer the R's driving experience.

Were Saleen and Roush cars excluded for some reason?

00-253 here. Bought it from original owner in PA in 2013. Had about 5k miles on it. I've only changed the radiator on mine. Currently has 21k miles. I've driven it to Mustang Week in SC for 3 years running. Pretty hot with no A/C, but it's worth it.

$500 did seem like a lot, but as you say, good luck finding another set. When demand outweighs supply, anything can happen.

I'd love to have them, but $500 seems like all the money and then some. Well sold.

I try to change mine each Spring.

If I remember correctly, the car seemed like it had been lowered quite a bit.
