If you agree they handle like a race car, can you explain why this wouldn't be a better choice?
Used C6 Vettes with low mileage are selling for around what a base S550 Mustang GT would cost.
Right now, I have a base 2014 GT. So ... I didn't think it mattered much when I originally bought the car, but now I'm kind of wishing I'd bought the Brembo car instead.
I'm really disappointed with the 18x8" wheels on my car, the squishy brakes, and the sub-par handling. I'm guessing that...
Hissman,
Have you ever driven a Corvette?
Like you, I feel like the S197 doesn't handle very well. I do feel like I could make plenty of horsepower with it (like almost anything), but I still want a good driving experience. My chief complaints with the S197 would be...
poor handling

For information sake:
It looks like I would be able to sell my '14 car for $20,000-22,000, and buy a 15+ basic S550 for around $24,000-26,000. (Thus, it might cost me around $5,000 to upgrade, but I would be gaining a slightly newer car with fewer miles as well)
Bonus question... is...
Hi guys,
Honest question here.
I currently own a 2014 Mustang GT MT-82 (base model), and I finally am at the point where I can start modding it. However, I'm torn wondering if the mod money wouldn't be better spent towards the newer S550 platform to start with.
In your educated opinion...
So, a few options would be...
A) 19x9", all 4 corners
B) 19x9.5"... will this fit all 4 corners?
C) Either 19x9" or 19x9.5" up front... with 19x10.5" in the rear. Will 10.5" wheels fit the rear?
Can someone help with the correct spacer and offsets for these?
Hey guys.
I'm in the market for a wheel upgrade for my 2014 GT. It has stock 18x8s on it now.
Anyway, I'd really prefer a 19" forged wheel.
Here goes...
1) Does anyone know anything about TSW wheels? (Is this a decent choice into the Forged arena, or are there better choices for the...
Well, that's the thing. I didn't want to spend a lot more money for an older car. Regardless of how it makes sense to car guys, I don't think I could convince my wife to go for that.
The '14 Mustang would likely bring $21-22k on sale or trade-in.
The decent C6 Vettes that I've seen go...
This is an important figure to know, actually.
How much money would it take to equal or beat a Vette, in handling and acceleration?
What specific parts would be required?
I was estimating $6,000-8,000 in my initial idea, but that figure may be too high.
Hey guys.
I currently own a 2014 Mustang GT 5.0, M6. It is in great condition, with only 24,000 miles.
The time has come to either upgrade the performance on my Mustang, or consider selling it and going to buy something like a C6 Vette.
I'm reasonably happy with the Mustang's acceleration...
Would you say the Kooks headers produce noticeably more power than the Stainless works?
If so, what would the cost difference be for 1 7/8" Kooks long tubes over the Stainless Works Long Tubes?
For the catback system, what do you think of the Roush catback? I tend to favor mufflers that...
Well my question is, do you think I can eek out a few more HP by switching to a better brand or configuration? (i.e., different brand of header, or catback, etc)
To answer your question, I was gonna let HPP Racing tune my car in Lewisville, TX.
I'm just trying to min/max to get the most HP possible out of the setup. I realize the differences may be negligible, but it would be nice to see some data to know.
Something like this? (Could it be improved upon slightly?)
Stainless Works 2011-2014 Mustang 5.0L 1-7/8" Longtube Headers...
