The wolves are always at your door. Like I said in a post above, there’s not one engine builder out there that I would feel comfortable rebuilding my engine. None. And you have to be extremely careful buying anything used. People are just waiting to steal your hard earned money.
Not many pics of it clean atm. It sits in the garage and collects dust next to my GT since it’s been raining every day for the last 2 weeks. Really want to drive it more this year and possibly make a couple passes at the track.
You really have to learn how to build one of these engines if you’re going to lean on it. There’s not one engine builder out there that I would feel comfortable giving my money to. And I’ve heard of horror stories about all of them basically, even the ones that are supposed to be the “best”.
I wouldn’t spin that 2.3 whipple any harder than 10 psi on a high compression, pump gas coyote. The 03/04 cobras with 2.3 whipples, usually the 3.0 upper is the limit on 93 pump and the cobra engine is 8.5:1 compression.
I’m keeping them for if and when I have to pull the engine. Then they’ll definitely go on when it goes back in. Still have to get a tubular k member as well, along with many other things the car “needs”. I just don’t have any extra money to throw at the car these days.
Here’s an 800 rwhp cobra with a flowmaster cat back. At the end they unbolt the cat back and dyno it with an open x pipe. It only gained 5 hp and 7 torques. They’re not really choking up the exhaust. Also, my buddy’s 2.9 whipple cobra went bottom 10’s at 140 with flowmasters. I’d run what you...
I like the idea of catch cans but I don’t like the looks of all the lines. I think it looks to busy under the hood. But I may eventually go that route to lessen the smell.
