Another thing I can't stand are crappy looking brake calipers. Had to customize these as well.

Replaced the A-pillar door jamb tape with a rubber plug from LMR.

Put a drop of lube (I used tire shine) on the rubber plug, it’ll push right in.

Background:
A few owners of S550’s have identified wet carpet on the floor of their cars (both sides).
Turns out that prior to painting S550’s, Ford applied 1-1/2” diameter piece of tape over a 3/4” hole on the A-pillar door jamb. On some cars, that tape was either poorly placed and/or it became separated from the A-pillar, allowing water to enter the cabin.

@BlksvtCobra01 - Another project for ya - lol.

Replaced the OEM gray lower grille on my '20 bucket with a '19-'20 Bullitt OEM gloss black lower grille. This fits and matches the standard GT gloss black top grille perfectly.
I purchased it from autonation for $166. Now I see they've went up to $172. Still a great mod for a '18-'23 GT.

(This gloss black lower grille is also harder to clean with more chicken wire pockets. So why not right? - lol)

I did this myself. Super simple to do, just time consuming. BE PATIENT with the plastic tabs! Lotsa videos out there on how to remove the bumper cover, belly pan, etc. But IMHO, none are 100% accurate. Too complicated.

Follow this video of Landon from LMR. It's good, but you DO NOT have to:
- Remove your front tires.
- Pull the fender liners back to get at the 10mm nuts. Instead, go in from the engine bay and use socket extensions to get at those 10mm nuts. So much easier and cleaner.

My helpful hints are:
- Tools/supplies:
* Painters Tape
* 5.5mm. 7mm, 8mm, 10mm deep well sockets
* About 15" of socket extensions
* Trim/Plastic Pin Removal Tools
* Drill w/socket adapter
* Dielectric Grease
* Jack and Jack Stands
* Beer
* Saw Horse/Towels to set the Bumper Cover on.

- The warmer temp you do this in, the better. I would not attempt this below 50F. You risk breaking the tabs.
- IMHO, DON'T use a screwdriver to bend the Tabs. Be patient and use a Plastic Trim Tool.
- Start unhooking the Plastic Tabs AT THE END OF THE GRILLE like Bill does in this video:



- Be very patient with the Plastic Tabs on the bumper cover and grille. You DO NOT want to break them. I was lucky enough to not break any. I usually do - lol.
- Before you lift the Bumper Cover off, unhook the electrical connectors to the front lights.
- Plastic Door Panel Removal tools are slick. Perfect for this job. Using them also stops you from marking up the covers, fasteners, Tabs, and plastic pins from getting all chewed up.
- Dielectric Grease when you reinstall the headlight connectors.

- Safely jack-up/support the front end so you can slide underneath.
- Couple layers of Wide Painters Tape for the fender so you don't scratch 'em with the bolts from the fender clamp.
- Ya don't have to remove the belly pan. Just remove the fasteners that hold the front spoiler to the belly pan like Landon did in the video. I think this works on non PP1 cars too.
- I DID remove the belly pan AFTER I removed the bumper cover to clean it. It collects all kind of road debris.

What a great mod! The new lower grill looks so much better than stock. (y) I can see why it was time consuming, but so worth it! Reading the note about being patient with the tabs on the bumper cover & grill to avoid breaking any took me back to when I pulled my 2003 Cobra Eaton to send it out for porting. Removing the intercooler torque-to-yield bolts was a delicate (but successful) operation. None broke, and no, I didn't re-use them. LOL.
