just installed o/r x-pipe and went on dyno. my previous numbers were 416rwhp with the basics (c-back + cai). unfortunately for an unknown reason, the tires would not hook, so no number higher than 300.
what are usual numbers with similar set ups?
i'm planning on buying a predator tuner with a 2.8 pulley.
i dont know much about tuning except for the general rules.
with the predator, will i start from nothing , or is there a basic
program for 91octane? can i make ajustments in small increments
for timing over all rpm range? and what...
i read somewhere that the angle of the diff is incorrect from factory.
it would be facing down a bit, creating a strong vibe a +80mph.
the cure seams to be a re-alignement.
what is the proper way to do that?
i have a 3" dynomax ultraflow c/back that is sounding great, i'm thinking of an x-pipe but i dont want the super loud sound. will a catted x/p yield power without the thundering sound.
and how much more power would an off-road x/p give?
i was told by a GoodYEAR dealer that the kelly evo-z is the exact same thing as the gsd-3. exept it doesn't have the warranty of the goodyear, plus they dont spend all that on advertising.
what are your thoughts?
do you fit the aftermarket seat on the oem electric base ?
or do you use manual tracks?
i personnaly find the electric base too high, i like to sit low.
what is the usual setup?
i actually have a corbeau seat that i love (from my 95 gt).
i need to make adaptor plates to fit it on the stock electric brackets, but i would rather buy a seat that bolts directly on (for safety reasons).
any recommendations?
i have no vibration in the steering. this vibration comes from the rear or from the whole chassis. it's worse when decelerating.
what can it be? driveshaft, diff, tires...
they have 3 kits : differential bushings, irs control arm bushings, rear subframe bushings.
anyone tried them??
i'm just tired of explaining to everybody that i can burn the tires and it's not because of a lack of power :(
cause i'm not sure i still want to take the cats off.
i just bolted on a new dynomax ultraflow 3" catback, and i love the sound, it's quiet when cruising and sounds free flowing when WOT. i just heard a catless-x-piped cobra with flowmaster cat-back and i think it sound way too loud, even at...
...if something happens on the drag strip?
my insurance company didn't seem to like it when i told them i might occasionaly go to the track. I dont think they will cover any damages caused on a race track even if it amateur/occasional/non competitive.
any thoughts?:??:
wow, now i 'm a true believer of the Terminator.
bone stock with even the stock pressure in the 4 tires, (but w/out spare and jack)
with a great great gran'daddy launch (2000rpm smooth launch w/out a spin) and quick shifts (no power ship yet),
i clicked a 12.84 @ 113 and backed it up with...
since the 4th gear is pretty long, would a 3.73 (retaining IRS) gear in place of the 3.55 show improvement in trap speed.
has anyone done this mod yet?
i tried to fit my Corbeau Targa RS seat, which was in my 95 gt, into my new cobra and was disappointed to find out that the seat belt attaches to the stock seat . so it cant be changed.
do you have any ideas to help me fitting my beloved corbeau seat
into my new cobra??
just wondering, i recently put 2 2.5" dynomax ultraflo mufflers plus 2.5" stainless (mandrel) tail pipes on my old gt.
would these fit on the 04 svt , if yes i will sell the gt with the old mufflers and tail pipes.
i just put a deposit on a new red coupe :D
i 'm wondering if the new cobras 03-04 have the same nose dive under braking than my 95 GT, or do they stay more flat?
i'm currently going crazy for a brand new red coupe
