I think you’ll be surprised. These modern ecu adjust quite a bit without a tune. I ported the blower on my Blackwing and gained a ton with no tune. I could feel the car getting stronger for a day or two before it steadied out.
DH for me...more space, less quirky, sounds better (to me) and I am biased toward the mustang since my brother had a bunch of fox body's growing up...lol. The fox body display alone on the s650 makes it better hahaha.
Very true and my whipple is coming soon to a theatre near me...lol. Car should run low 10s in the upper 130's from what I am seeing online. A little much for the street but alot fun...lol.
Hi Gang,
A few of you have asked and I wanted to give you input on the C8 I had vs the DH I currently have. Initially I felt that the vette would be much faster stock but after testing both cars I realize the DH is awfully close, especially in any type of roll race as the cars seem to trap...
yes, same trap speed in every single pass, which is awesome but the traction control on especially the 1-2 shift was hurting it. It shifts early in the gear that it traps in as well...not sure why. Whipple will fix these issues...lololol.
Car feels great and is VERY close to my C8 for roll...
I put around 500 miles on my DH with handling package so far...really love the car. I do have the A10 and bought mine with the ford performance Whipple kit (should be installed May 20th).
Even in stock form this car is much faster than my previous 5.0's. My full bolt on boss ran 12.3@115 and...
Ran a new best today. 12.1@117. Car is def 11s stock at the track. You can see in the video second gear hesitate because of traction control. No plans to hit the track even after I whipple. I like to use the dragy on the street. lol. But if it’s spin city I may try the track once Whipple...
Knew this car felt strong...very impressed with the stock power and great trans this car came with. I can't wait to install the whipple in a few weeks as well. Here is the stock 1/4 mile time via dragy...btw the car timer thought I ran an 11.46...lol.
I have been trying to find out since they upgraded so many other internal parts...not that it matters, this car is getting whippled either way...lol
but you would think this would be a bragging point for ford to tell customers as well...why is that info so hard to get?
with the amount of differences between the DH and GT, it seems like ford is wanting to really prop it up. The price difference vs the GT is the part many can't justify.
I bought the car with the ford whipple kit, so my thoughts were pay around 90k and get a reliable 800-850hp mustang with full...
