I am thinking about selling my 2000 Cobra R. It has been a great car that I have had so much fun with. However, since I now how a 2012 Boss302S which I use for open track, I really need to cut down on the number of cars that I have.
If anyone is interested please contact me on my cell phone...
I have a 2012 Boss302S which I do open track events. I have recently installed a Cobra Jet Intake Manifold, Cobra Jet Dual Throttle Body, and cold air intake. I also installed Stage 3 Comp cams and now have approx. 495 HP at the rear wheels. I also have long tube headers, and Cortex watts link...
Received my Boss302 owners Kit from Ford today. Very impressive. Included key fob , VIN specific Certificate of Authenticity on the car, complete with collectible posters, Boss302 hardcover book, and DVD. Also an invite to participate in the Boss Track Attack program at Miller. Hmmm..A bunch of...
Last weekend, Jeff Lacino's "Track Guys" put on an event at Texas World Speedway. There were 20 Boss302 at the event and everyone had a great time. At noon, they took a picture of 13 of them on the front straight. It was great to see all these Boss302's doing what they were designed for.
Is there anyone on here who has purchased a new Boss302S. I know 3 guys who have and was wondering who else may have one coming? We need to get a thread going about this car.
Guys,
Not sure if you have seen the attached video's. They explain why we all enjoy our cars and playing on the track. Enjoy.

I am trying to sell my white #52 Grand AM Cup car on E-bay. I bought the car from Dean Martin with Rehagen Racing in 2007. I have really enjoyed the car but I really need to reduce my race cars to only the 2000 Cobra R. The car is in really good shape and would be very competitive as a NASA AI...
Wayne Manor and I are on the way home from a great time at Barber. We ran open track Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Five sessions each day. What a blast. Wayne and I ran in the Red (Race Group) and sure used up some brake pads and tires. It was great to see all my old friends from all over the...
Guys,
I have purchased a FR500 Intake Manifold for my 2004 Grand AM Koni Challenge Cup Car. It has a 5 liter 11.1 compression Sean Hyland Modular engine which puts out 357 HP at the rear wheels. I want a bit more for the straights. The car handles really well and is lighter than the 2000...
Guys,
Looks like the Miller Motorsports Mustangs did quite well taking 1-2 in class and in top 10 overall in the 25 hr race at Thunderhill. 25 hours is pretty grueling so I'd say those cars with factory HP done really well.

Mark,
There were about 55 paid entries and 15 instructors. Not sure about the exact numbers. It was a great event. The weather was great and everyone had fun. There was a nice dinner on Saturday night with presentations given out for the car show and others who worked so hard on the event...
Guys,
Just getting ready to head for TWS. It should be a great event. Dean Martin will be down with his two Grand AM cup car and Wayne Manor should have his World Challenge Car there. There should be some new Shelby GT500's and some Z06's there. I am taking the 2000 Cobra R and my new Shelby...
Hey guys,
I got myself a new 2007 Shelby GT Mustang. It will be used as my daily driver instead of the truck. It sure is a nice car. Handles really good. Love to have a bit more HP but I think I am going to keep it stock and just drive it. I will attach a couple pictures.
I recived my CD with the pictures from the SCMC event. I will post a couple of them. You can also go to my web site at http://groups.msn.com/SVTCobraR to see additional pics.
Guys,
You sure missed a great open track event at Barber last weekend. There were 6 - 20 minutes sessions on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The cars were broken up into four groups, A,B,C, & D. The A group was the race prepared group. The course is a roller coaster ride with a lot of...
Guys,
Attached is a link of a nice 1969 Boss302 which was bent up during a CVR race at TWS. It was due to a stuck throttle.

It is always a shame to see such a nice car bent up but it happens sometime when we are...
Guys,
I developed an oil leak while I was at the SVTOA event at Pikes Peak International Raceway a couple of weeks ago. I noticed a pool of oil under my car when I came back Sunday morning and when I started the car, there was a constant drip of oil. I decided not to run the car on Sunday...
Hey Guys,
I am thinking about going with heavier springs for my 2000 R. I am looking for some 1000 lb springs for the front and 1100 lb springs for the rear. Does anyone have a suggestion where I should get these? I want linear not progressive springs. I also need to know the unsprung height...
Hey Guys,
I wanted to update you on the ABS problem I am having with my Cobra R. On Sunday at Gingerman, I had a ABS light come on and at the end of the front straight I was locking up and smoking my rear tires under heavy braking.
After I got back to Houston, I took the car to Kenny...
Guys,
Just spend the weekend with the Drivers Edge Group at Motor Sports Ranch southwest of Fort Worth. We ran the track backward and what a blast. A lot of blind hills, curves, and off camber curves.
There was a match race at noon on Sunday between 5 drivers who run in the Trans Am...
Hey Guys,
Well, l went and did it. I am having a mold made for my front splitter here in Houston. I am tired of buying the piece of crap that Ford offers, having to re-enforce it, and still have it tear while open tracking.
In January, the mold will be made and I will be able to either...
Hey Guys,
I was up at Texas World Speedway last Thursday and after my last session I noticed drops of oil leading into my garage area. I looked under the car and I had a large puddle of oil. The Canton oil pan was leaking at the rear weld seam. I taped it up and loaded it on the trailer and...
Hey Guys,
I just picked up the new September 2003 edition of Hot Rodding Magazine and guess who has an article in it. None other than our friend Fred Fetzer. It is nice that our cars are considered as big bad dogs that get off the porch and run...lol....I will attach a picture of the page in...
Hey Guys,
Well, I made it back to Houston last night. Man oh man, did I have a great time at Gingerman. Waterford Hills. and at the 100 year Celebration at Dearborn. It was so great to see all my old friends from around the US. There is just too many to mention everyone, but it was great to...
