It took me a while, but I finally removed the old cruddy exhaust with side pipes for a proper system.
I ended up going with a Pypes system with their violator mufflers. The system is fairly standard at 2.5" mandrel bent and does contain an x pipe. The old exhaust system contained turbo style...
I'm working on a documentary about my car and need a ton of footage as a result. I put together a short walk around teaser clip while I'm compiling all the footage I need. Nothing crazy, some acceleration, mediocre burnout etc.

I don't think this is a repost, forgive me if you've seen it.
This is one of my favorite "music video" type auto clips right now.

Some of you know I've been in the process of doing a heads/cam swap to my classic Firebird. I completed the swap early last week and have spent the last week and a half chasing down bugs and fixing a few things here and there that cropped up. Specs below.
.030 over 455 (462)
Edelbrock...
There are only a handful of fuel pumps in the entire state of Colorado that carry fuel above 91 Octane. It just so happens that the only station in Colorado that carries the 100 octane swill my '69 Firebird needs, is about 1/4 mile from my house. Lucky me!

Each year, the company I work for does two live instruction events streamed free over livestream. These events feature instruction from several different instructors and cover multiple different styles and techniques.
Throughout the day we'll also be giving away guitars, t-shirts, some gear...
...I always have to move at least two cars.

I've been talking about making an active youtube channel for a while now, so I figured I'd start testing the waters a bit. I don't really know yet exactly what I want to do, but obviously it'll center around cars, and more...
This past winter in Colorado wasn't very typical. What usually happens is we get decent snowfall accumulations followed by periods long enough to melt that snow. Instead we received accumulation after accumulation and so my lawn sat under a mountain of snow for the vast majority of the winter...
Would any of the Forza 6 players here be interested in such a thing?
The basic gist of it is there would be a weekly time attack race that you could complete on your own schedule each week. The rules are pretty simple. I would start be selecting a track (including specific configuration), a...
These are sold out already, but the video is cool!
There was a big thread about these a while ago but I don't recall this video being part of it.
Only thing I'd change is putting a traditional poncho under the hood.

In late 2013 / early 2014 my wife and I made a decision to try and go it as a single car family (with exception of my classic Firebird). For a while we managed just fine without really any issues. Our schedules were such that anything I really needed to do for myself or work could be handled...
Hey guys, over the past couple days the company I help run has been seeing some connectivity issues relating to our Android app. Unfortunately, most of our membership base are older folks that aren't exactly adept at technical troubleshooting.
If you're interested in helping us out, I would...

This past weekend, the wife and I decided to take a long drive around town in Savannah. The goal was to see how she would cope with 95+ degree heat and traffic. We found her limit after about 25 minutes of traffic and stop lights.
Now on the positive side, coolant temps never...
As some may well know, flat tappet cams have both literally and figuratively been taking a beating in the past couple years. Between supplier shortages, cheap Chinese junk and reformulation of motor oils, it's about a one-two punch for this style of valvetrain.
My 1969 Firebird has a...

As I sit down in my office this morning I received a text from my wife that reads "The sister of one of my kids, and her ten kids just came in to my room and yelled at me in front of my entire class. My kids are so upset about it."
To a lot of people a statement like that won't make...
We had one of these come through us today and fortunately the potential victim had the good sight to contact us before losing any money.
Anyway I thought I'd post this up so you guys out there are aware. Right now this seems to be going around the online guitar lessons industry but it's...
Wife and I are a year and a half in to our "be debt free, then be baller" campaign. It's about this time that I'd be looking to purchase another car, because hey that's what I always did when I was stupid amounts of fiscally irresponsible.
I've been pretty good and for once I'm actually...
I've always been a dog lover and I've had pets all my life. In that time I've never even questioned the need to rehome a pet until now.
December of 2013 my wife and I adopted lab/retriever puppies. I wanted one, she wanted two. I talked to family and friends that had adopted littermates...
I did a quick search and didn't find anything. Hopefully this isn't a repost.

There's been a lot of discussion about what these tires would do for cars that aren't originally fitted with them. Hellcat specifically.
Chris Harris and Perelli were kind enough to take a couple...
With my bonus and extra rev share coming on the 5th, it's finally time to pick out some wheels for my '69 Firebird. Based on the budget I want to stay in I've narrowed it down to three wheels.
Satin black AR Torq Thrusts
Yearone Snowflakes
Weld RT-S in black
I put together some crude...
Hi DTD!
Early next month I'll be ordering wheels for my 1969 Firebird. Sizing will be 17x8 front and 17x9 rear. 245/45/17 and 275/40/17 preferred.
Here's the pertinent
1969 Firebird 455 equipped (roughly 450hp/500+tq, 3.73 trutrac)
Hotchkis front springs/rear leafs (2"/3" lowering)...
So here's my dilemma. I've owned a 1969 Firebird coupe since April of 1999. I bought it back when I was in highschool and didn't buy it with the immediate intention of starting a project. I wanted to drive it for a while, then put some money in to it.
Long story short, the car broke on the...
I know there's a number of guitarists here so I figured I'd put it out here.
The company I help run is largely dedicated to guitar. We've been branching out slowly, but our success is largely dependent on the guitar itself. Right now what we're seeing is that guitar is basically an unused...
Well, here we are, the last race of the season. That of course means a bit more than three long, cold months before we see NASCAR return to Daytona.
gtmustan88 is mathematically the winner this year as nobody has enough points to overtake him in one race. The rest of the spots can change...
