DMV wanted an original inked bill of sale. Turned down my scanned/emailed version from the seller and there was no time to mail back and forth. Wish me luck.
I live in SC and bought a 68 Torino GT Vert from a guy in FL. There was not time to mail title and go to DMV after wire transfer before driving home this weekend. Do I drive it without tags or put on a tag from one of my other vehicles and bring that vehicles registration and insurance?
I will...
It is with a heavy heart that I am listing my 2003 DSG Cobra Convertible for sale. The car has 61,xxx miles and has been the best vehicle I have ever owned.
Serious inquiries only please. Call, text or email for more info and photos. Eddie Smith 864-SevenOneZero-955nine...
The only good looking 6th Gen Camaro is the ZL1 and the Vert. I have to admit, the Camaro looks darn good as a vert. Plus, not blind spot issues if you always drive with the top down, which I do.
I agree. I opened this thread expecting to be tempted to want one and came away still super happy with my wife's current 2016 Explorer Sport. Changes don't seem significant enough to consider trading up for quite a while. The existing Explorer does just fine with AWD. Last time we got snow, I...
250/500k limits, high uninsured, underinsured and property, $500 deductible, full coverage on all vehicles. Like I said, I don't understand why so many of your rates are so high....I guess y'all need to move to the beautiful State of South Carolina! Go Tigers!
Tacoma is paid, but I actually have a small loan on the Cobra because for 1.5% interest I figured I might as well keep the cash on hand. Explorer has a loan, but even it is only $500 something a year for $50k+ vehicle.
To everyone paying $1,000+ a year for insurance, what am I missing? Do you have duo's, terrible credit, lots of speeding tickets? I don't get it. That's what I paid as a 16 year old with a new license in a V8 RWD car.
I'm 34 and pay $1,100 a year for all three of my cars: 03' Cobra, 07'...
Check out American Classic Insurance. They have a 7500 mile a year tier that was unlimited use and about $350 a year on my 72' Vette, which was insured for a $17,500 agreed value.
Wow! I have 250k/500k limits with a $500 deductible and pay about $330 a year for my 03' Cobra and it drops every year. Also have a vanishing deductible and accident forgiveness. I am 34 years old with a spotless driving record. My wife's brand new Explorer Sport is around $500 a year for...
I ran at the Clayton, GA event last month and went 144.4 mph in a Vert with 2.3L Whipple making 15lbs of boost. Stock exhaust manifolds and H-pipe, stock intake and TB with K&N, Magnaflow catback, 2600 MAF, AFCO intercooler. Stock hood, radiator, intercooler and overflow reservoirs, etc.
I was...
Sorry, I did not. I am a little old school (even though I am only 33) and come from the world of 60's, 70' and 80's cars. I have an SCT Tuner, but need to get the cable that goes to the laptop and download the software. Will definitely do that next time though.
I can tell you that it was in...
Yes, end of 4th. Actually had to lift slightly to stay below redline. The car will go faster with a slight gearing change. Thinking about going to a 305/35/18 on the next set of tires to accomplish some of that (~0.5" taller). Should help a little on the launch too, especially if I go with a...
Here are some of the top speeds from the event. Note, some of these are not stock and in some cases the people provided dyno horsepower.
16' Hellcat Challenger = 144.8 mph
16' Hellcat Challenger = 147.4 mph
16' Hellcat Challenger (750hp) = 157.5 mph
15' Hellcat Challenger (800hp) = 163.4 mph...
Ran at Heaven's Landing in Clayton, GA at WannaGoFast. Had a blast and beat my goal of 140mph.
I ran a best of 144.4 mph backed up by 143.5 mph and 142.6 mph runs.
Struggled to get a good launch with old and near bald 315 Toyo R888's but the car pulled hard once it got traction.
Was running...
Disregard guys. I think this was operator error. I had been filling the tank up to only 1/2 to 3/4 so I could keep it low to add race fuel before the event. I'm betting I reset the trip odometer out of habit and that 63.5 miles was only on 1/4 to 1/2 tank of gas since I filled up with a 1/4...
Gas mileage was just 5.6mpg on last fill up (63.5 miles on 11.4 gallons). I usually see between 10-13mpg as my driving is all low speed with lots of stops and starts.
What could cause the sudden drop?
Two weeks ago I changed plugs (old ones looked good and were low mileage), cleaned filter...
Update: checked fuse 20, it was not loose or bad but replaced it with a new one to rule out. Checked the yellow wire with white stripe in the voltage regulator plug, all looked good. Cleaned with electrical contact cleaner and reassembled. Also cleaned the pigtail connection to the alternator...
