2004 F-250 with the 6.0 - Hey guys. I've got a battery light coming on periodically, so I'm pretty sure it's new alternator time (the batteries test fine and stay on a conditioner pretty often). Any suggestions? OEM Motorcraft, Ultima, Bosch, etc.? Thank you. Jason

Normally I'd say stock replacement. But even that is a crap shoot anymore. Check around for an electrical shop that can rebuild it. Or if you're so inclined you can probably find the parts you need online and rebuild it yourself. More than likely it's just the regulator starting to fail.

i'll see if I can find what we used on our 05 - it puts out significantly more power at ilde than stock which is good for the FICM and injectors.

Last one i did i went with NAPA, in my opinion they tend to have a little bit better junk than the average parts house when it comes to electrical components. If its my personal vehicle i try to do what

01yellercobra said and have the factory one rebuilt.
