The alternator went out on my 2003 Cobra last weekend so I bought a high amp replacement from Eagle Auto Electric on ebay. Today I started the disassembly to get the alternator out and ran into a problem. The alternator power wire is seized onto the post of my stock alternator. Some how the post, nut and wire corroded and became one piece. Hours of penetrating oil and other attempts haven't helped to make any progress. I am thinking the only way I am going to deal with this is by purchasing a new alternator power wire kit: - PA Performance Premium Mustang Power Wire Kit (86-04 Mustang) 9902 - Free Shipping! - PA Performance 99-04 Cobra 4 Gauge Power Wire Upgrade Kit Can someone explain the process of replacing the power wire? Or is it really as simple as just undoing the OEM power wire and replacing it with the new kit? Also the two kits I listed above are a standard kit and a premium kit. Is there any justifiable difference for the cost of the two kits? Thanks, Joe
