Anyone have luck with drag radials with a stick car on the drag strip? I’ve had real good luck with the original 275/60-15 Hoosier drag radial just purchased some 325/50-15 Mickey street R and wondering has anyone ran these with a stick? Hp is approx 550 rwhp 500tq car weighs 2950-3000 without me in it. I’m hoping for 10s

Forgot to mention the 275 Hoosiers. Sidewalls almost have a bias ply feel to them they wrinkle and work great on the drag strip but wear ridiculously fast on the street so I wanted to try the Mickey street r more for the street but was interested to see if any stick guys use them on the strip

So with a radial you don't need weight transfer.. That's part of the problem you need separation. So anti-squat lol. If this was a slick car you'd be fine but youre playing with a drag radial.

Drag radials and sticks just end up being an inconsistent PITA. 50 series makes it even more difficult

You just need to really get good at burning and slipping clutch off the line to get some speed in them.
I love Hoosier QTP or MT/stiff walls.

10s should be NP though making 500 plus wheel.

Shoot I figured lol I may have to stick with the Hoosiers for the strip and play with the 2 step rpm and hopefully not mess up I have a set of 27x11.5 QTP on some draglites that have never let me down I just like the feel of the radials better

Radials are 1000% better faster and feel better. Just gotta have the proper suspension setup and tire pressures.

I’m ordering the 31 spline axle conversion kit from LMR comes with Yukon forged 31 spline axles and 31 spline locker and 3 inch studs along with the bearings seals and install kit. Also picked up a Scott drake 8.8 diff girdle brace hopefully I won’t scatter my rear on the track now

If I can get a 10 second run I’d be blown away since the car is 2900-3000 ish lbs 550 rwhp but track elevation is 5350ft above sea level so not sure if I’ll get a sub 11
