Always very easy on paper, lol. Since posting this thread on several boards I've had two folks who have written back to say they got them back successfully. Both seem to have pretty good methods (one with a modified socket and a C-clamp and the other with a home-made C-clip device and a large rod with the end tapered down to fit inside the hole in the top of the cap/spring). I think I am going to try this 2nd method. But one of those guys even ordered the tools mentioned in the link you posted jrgoffin and said they were too big to fit inside the bore of the caliper. I don't know if the tool has changed or if there is some difference in the T-bird to Mustang (but I think they are identical). Anyway, I was hoping to give this a try tonight but my PC man still didn't get his red stuff in/done today. He swore to me tomorrow they would be finished, lol. It may be the weekend before I have time to mess with the rears but I will report back regardless of whether I get them re-assembled or not. Thanks for the input/encouragement. -Ryan
