Florida Car Registration

I bought a used car today (private party), errr yesterday, 9/28/07. Unfortunately I was unable to get to the DMV to get a temp tag and register it. The car is insured, though.

Can I drive it legally until Monday or no? Someone was telling me I have 10 days to pay the sales tax on it and register it. Is this true?

In florida you can drive on the title for a period of time after purchase. I just dont know how long.
