First off... My grandpa is 98 years old and doesn't drive anywhere but a half a block to the bank. Sometimes on sunday's he'll come over to watch a football game. Other than that he doesn't drive anywhere(thank god).

Today he recieved a notice stating:

RE: Non-payment of parking violations. Controll# x01900605-B
Current License: 519EFY(not his license)
MO 00 vehicle make: VHEC ( What does this mean)

Then his name and address

Then it says.... Your failure to pay your outstanding parking tickets has resulted in a summons being filed in this court.Prompt payment prevents possible arrest or towing. And so on....

Then it gives notice numbers along withthe date issued and
The violations.... NO VALID STATE LICENSE AND W/O VALID CERT/ INSP. Both the violation locations were listed in 3442 Iowa.

He hasn't driven out of St. louis in twenty years let alone to Iowa.
 There has obviously been a mistake but what steps should be taken to correct it? Any advice would be greatly appreaciated.

Just call the authority that issued the notice and tell them..They will have you submit his license and registration for proof and that should be the end of it.

good luck

Yeah, what Hulk said, inform them of the situation, you may need to send some copies of documents for them but that should take care of it. Let us know how it goes!

Unless it's Massachusetts, then it's off to a Turkish prison......

Check for identity theft. Someone maybe using your Grandpa info. Run a credit report for him.
