SVT Shelby GT500
Is the Shelby GT500 going to need 700HP at the crank to keep up with a C6 Z06?
Yes, it will easily get you to 600rwhp on straight 93 octane. With full supporting mods a 2.3L twin screw makes around 680-700rwhp on straight pump. The larger 2.7-2.8L twin screws should kick out more. Obviously you'll need new rods at that point. Also in somewhat of a digression, someone's built Ford GT (Boss 330 worked) just put down 904rwhp SAE on straight 93 octane with a set of twins. Less the drivetrain loss difference that should be around ~850rwhp in a GT500, 1000rwhp will be easy on 100/104 unleaded with twin 57-67mm+ turbos.
