So the moral of the story is its your car and you can do anything you want to it but it may cost you some money out of your pocket to fix it if it breaks. Ford does make a tuner/folter/muffler pack for these cars and you can still keep a 3/36 powertrain if installed when new or a 12/12 if its after the delivery of the car and if you have a stick car you can get a supercharger and still have a powertrain warranty as well. The lesson to be learned with the new 5.0 is if you want to find the limit of the powertrain you may have to pay to fix it just like you payed to mod it. Maybe the aftermarket part manufactures should have to pay for the repair if it can be proven that there part caused the damage. That would be fair right if the part was used as designed? [QUOTE="BOD89LX, post: 10831785, member: 76286"] Ford has had this warranty policy for years, they just were not able to detect it like they can now. Just think of how much this cost them with the 6.0L when people put programmers on them. Keep in mind most of the problems came from either the knock sensor being turned down and or some defective pistons/rings if it has happened to any stock cars.
