NO CATS = Fine?

I live in Southern California and i have an O/R h-pipe on my car. I have heard rumors about cops giving pollution fines up to $2500 for not having converters.....is this true? Has anyone here recieved a pollution fine? thanks -Rob

I would not doubt that in the Democratic Republic of California. But who knows if it would be the police of DOT.

You can get your car impounded for no Cat's also.. They have set up check points for Smog violations... Oh I mean safety checks.... They do it in Nor Cal too..

But Vermont is a car mecca.... all those Camrys and Volvo 240 DLs (dork limos) and 240 GLs (glom limos) and all those short fat hairy women (oh sorry mister) in those great big SUVs, and let's not forget civil unions, er I mean Civics.............. and I hear the highway rest stops are a blast (a BUM blast).............
