Thermostat...

I was looking at the Hypertech 160° / 180° Low-Temperature Thermostat at rpmoutlet.com for $19.95. A buddy of mine said that it is wasted money, and possibly hurting myself performance wise. Anyone else running a cooler running thermostat in there S197?? Any advice on this??

160 would be way too low. The engine needs to reach proper operating temperature.
