It is my understanding that the x-pipe makes more power and torque. The h-pipe makes a deeper and louder sound.
They will both make the same power, but it's a personal preference decision based off of the sound you want your car to make. The X pipe typically has the more exotic sound and is what NASCAR uses. The H pipe has a deeper tone at idle and during part throttle acceleration.
