Anyone have experience with these it claims 2-3 number octane one bottle per tank at this lower concentration does it still turn plugs orange? I had a bad experience with Torco accelerator in the past even just doing 91 pump to make it 95-96 octane just wanted to see if the smaller boostane shots are safe or do they still turn stuff orange

If it has that mmt (sp?) stuff in it, then it probably will. That's my inexperienced guess anyway.

Thanks guys I’m gonna pick up some Torco 108 unleaded locally for 85.00 for a 5 gallon pail if I do 5 gal of 91 pump and 1 gallon of Torco 108 it should be 94 octane which is perfect safety net window I. Case my water alky fails to spray

It will still be orange. I used to run it, thinking it was better than torco. I would just run some 260gt or something
That sucks to hear. I was considering running it.

Does anyone know of an octane booster that won't turn plugs and 02 sensors orange?

Asking because I am stuck with 91 octane where I live and do don't want to run meth injection.

I think all the real octane boosters have it in it even the Lucas one that raises a full tank 2-3 numbers has MMT according to the MSDs I read online. I have tried doing 4 gallon of premium 91 octane mixed with one gallon of E85 which should have given me 93-93.5 ish octane I had no problems running that batch

E85 and mixing fuels just isn't an option for me. Closest E85 is an hour each way.

The other aspect is running E85 or blending race gas severely limits where I can drive my car when I want to take it on a trip.

All I really want is 93-94 octane, nothing crazy. I'll probably end up running boostane anyway and just planning on replacing my plugs every winter.

Read the label on VP Octanium and see what you think. No experience, whether it leaves the orange frost.
I run it in all my 93 octane tunes. On engines that have knock sensors, it prevents knock that pulls ignition timing.
VP makes some premium canned fuel, I would think their additives would be good quality.

I just read up on the VP octanium unleaded if you do the 2.6 oz to 10 gallons which is a 2 number octane increase it’s still considered in the safe for use every day 24/7 for sensors like o2 and cats once you go above that mixture it requires more maintenance like changing plugs and sensors idk FWIW thats what’s on their website if it’s true then octanium at 2.6 ounces to 10 gallons of gas is safe for continuous use without harm to any sensors etc. 2 full points of octane is exactly what I want just as a safety net Incase my water alcohol fails in a full pull 2 full octane numbers will insure it won’t detonate in my case.
