OEM Pistons: Zollner or Mahle

It appears that this continues to be debated. Was it Zollner, Mahle, or a combination of the two?

Can anyone physically confirm it was Zollner? There have been recent reports that both SVT and Mahle stated the pistons were supplied by Mahle. I've always known it to be Zollner. One person stated the P/N on top of the piston is a Mahle number, but I remember mine have Ford P/N on them.

They are zollner, and they are good pistons, just not as good as the Mahle pistons in the GT500. That and the tight piston to wall clearances have really hamstrung these slugs.

The top ringland is also a bit on the thin side, isn't it? I'm not a fan of the Teflon coating, either.
