This is James's "Cobra Engineering" new head cooling mod with T adapter. The T adapter allows you to connect the driver side head to the passenger side and utilize the factory heater core hose. So basically you don't have to run any additional hoses to the front radiator hose making IMHO a much cleaner looking install.

The T adapter is a new piece and is another $120. So the total is $220

You have the option to get it made in AN or NPT, I chose AN.

This is of course crazy easy to install on a motor on a stand but if your motor was installed and tranny out i think the hardest thing you would have to do is pop the driver side head cooling plug out.

Here's the kit as it comes, you must supply your hose and ends (I'm giving you a required parts list :reckon:)

This is what I bought:

3' of Russell ProClassic Hose 10AN Part# 799-632153 (I ended up using exactly 1 3/4" of hose)

10AN STR Hose End Black Part# 799-610043 (you need two of these)

James recommend using O-ring adapters. I searched around and ended up using Pegasus auto racing supplies. very pricey.....

7/18-14 O-ring Boss, 10AN-90' Elbow Part# 3287-10-10 (you need one)

10AN Male to -10 (7/8-14) O-Ring Boss Adapter, Straight (you need one)

And showing installation in progression:

If you have any questions please feel free to ask away!

And Thanks a lot James for getting these to me right away and answering all my questions.

James makes some top notch products.

here is the link to his website and the head cooling mod with price.
Cobra Engineering LLC

for the lazy people that dont want to click the link, it is $100.

The head cooling mod which is actually just the two pieces that plug into the head is $100 by itself

The T adapter is a new piece and is another $120. So the total is $220

This might be a dumb question. With the positive arc of the hose in the back, would that inhibit flow at all?

After you get all the air out there should be no issue, it could create a vapour lock if the system were to fill rapidly.

Phil if your looking at this i can make us these AN hoses at work……..shhhhhhh

A few people have inquired about the measurements since I have not installed my motor to verify fit. Maybe someone could take some quick clearance measurements in there car to compare.

All measurements were taken in inches. I took my measurements with a veiner caliper from the flat surface the adapters plugged into the head to the end of the fitting/adapter protruding the greatest. (I took the pic just to show where I was measuring from)

The oem passenger side fitting that James T adapter replaces was 1.461"
James's T adapter (passenger side): 1.596
James's driver side adapter/line: 2.105"

Well can't grab a measurement until the trans is out. Might be a week or two till I get it pulled. Maybe someone else has theirs out and can take one.

Is there an alternative to this T fitting that can be used?

So I guess you got the motor done?

if by done you mean sitting on an engine stand in my garage without any timing components on it and boxes full of parts everywhere...... then yes I have my motor done! :whine:
