midnight black v. dark charcoal

my terminator like all others has midnight black floor mats. the driver mat has a wear spot below the clutch pedal. i put it in shows and would like to have a second set of mats to throw in when showing, but ford does not have midnight floor mats availible(except 10th mats). i have heard that dark charcoal is different in color. GT and v6 mustangs have dark charcoal as an optional color. has anyone ever compared the two? or am i going to put anniversary mats in my car for shows???

I always just take out my floor mats when i do a car show. I think it looks clean without them. jmo

Ford discontinued selling the dark graphite and replaced it with the "midnight black" code (1r3z-6313300-bb)- it does not match. I bought some, and they are much darker than the carpet.

BTW, i have an '04 redfire - is yours an 03 or 04? I thought i heard that they changed color codes mid year of 03.

There are three colors of black/grey that i have come across:

midnight black
dark charcoal (which i believ i have, but cannot find the mats)
ebony black

FWIW, the factory mats in most of 04 did NOT come with the cobra logos on them. they were plain dark graphite mats.
